George Swearingen shares
some of his wonderful war stories.
Veterans Day, or Remembrance Day as it is known around the world, is a day that honors those who have dedicated part of their lives to the service of their countries. No matter where you are in the world, those who served to protect freedom have a very special place in the hearts of those they fought to protect. And even though Veterans Day comes once a year, we all share in the benefit and appreciation for what serving men and women have done and continue to do all year round.
When Builders Care had stumbled upon two veterans in need in their own hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, they knew they wanted to include them in their upcoming Veterans Day event. These two special veterans, Bracell Freeman and George Swearingen, both served in World War II… and they both needed the help of Builders Care.
With the assistance of Engle Homes Jacksonville and Division President Andy Chambers, the quality of their lives were about to be greatly improved. Good-hearted volunteers heard the call, mobilized their forces and hit the ground running to help these two fine local veterans!
