This is the story of George and Linda Gumpl. George was a hard working man and a
veteran who lived with his wife Linda in a very small home when he was tragically struck
with Diabetes.
This disease took its toll on George. He lost both legs and most of his eyesight. And if
that weren't bad enough, with tight doorways, an inadequate bathroom, bad electrical and
a leaking roof, George could no longer function in their small home.
The Gumpls had nowhere to turn until the day they met Northeast Florida Builders Care.
With help from its volunteers, Builders Care came to the rescue of this wonderful couple
and things would never be the same.
For its inspirational quality and its
family-friendly message, the Parents
Television Council is proud to award
Building A Difference with our PTC Seal
of ApprovalTM for The Page-Bailie Bunch.”
Even though George is now in his new home with the Lord, he was so grateful to all of the volunteers who gave of themselves on this Builders Care event. Because of them, he was able to spend the last few years of his life in the warmth and care of his loving wife Linda…in the safety of their own home. The reward of those who selflessly gave to help this lovely couple is immeasurable.
Let North Florida Builders Care know what a wonderful job they did for George & Linda here!
