About the Tour

[sm_empty_space height=”20″][sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1514424700758{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]“The goal from the very beginning of Building a Difference has been to a shine a light on remarkable works of charity and to ignite hearts to movements of compassion,” shares Mick Richards, Prod./Dir. “In fact, we felt it was important to take many of the concepts presented in this series and put it to a road test in something we call the Movements of Compassion Tour.”

The MOC Tour is an exciting missions experience with adoptive/foster mother Melisa Page-Bailie and some of her children as our missions team. Together we traveled across parts of the United States, Canada and Alaska serving alongside amazing organizations bringing hope to those in need. Now people can see what the Movements of Compassion Tour has been all about.

“We are so excited about our newest video,” shares Melisa Page-Bailie. “Now everyone will have the opportunity to see all we have been involved in and what God is doing through His people all around the country.”

“What is happening with this family and the God experiences they are discovering are real and profound,” shares Dianne Rigby, BD Partnership Development Coordinator. This story is about what could happen if people would dare to step out of their own comfort zones and become workers in the Great Harvest…and what they might find in their own lives as a result.”

“This is clearly a move of God that we could have never orchestrated on our own,” continues Rigby. “By sowing into the lives of young people who are demonstrating courage, risk and faith, you will be investing into the next generations. And in a time of so much uncertainty, addiction and brokenness in the family, the question needs to be asked in all of us – are we willing to serve like this family is serving and will we ask God to show us the different ways He can use us?”[/sm_column_text][sm_empty_space height=”20″][sm_column_text]

The Movements of Compassion Tour - HOW IT ALL BEGAN!

A North America Missions Experience

[sm_empty_space height=”20″][sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486781077748{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]As part of our fundraising and promotional efforts for the Building a Difference: Beyond Your Borders series, a special Building a Difference team began a cross-country missions experience that took them throughout the United States, Canada and parts of the Alaska. The Movements of Compassion Tour got under way in May of 2016.[/sm_column_text]

[sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486781444305{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]Our primary goals are to:

– Share the overall Building a Difference vision as a worldwide media ministry
Develop financial support for the Beyond Your Borders 3-volume series
– Shine a light on various missions-related organizations while serving alongside them

“What we love about the heart of Building A Difference is that it is not about us,” shares Dianne Rigby, BD Partnership Development Coordinator. “We seek to shine a light on the great works of others and to motivate our audience to seek out their own God-given passions.”[/sm_column_text]

[sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486781146697{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]Dianne goes on to say, “Our upcoming productions address critical global issues and offer real, sustainable, life-giving solutions that have eternal significance. That’s why partnership with us so valuable. It will take the prayers and monthly support of the Building a Difference family to help us continue in this mission.”[/sm_column_text][sm_empty_space height=”20″]

[sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486784860529{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]We are really excited because our viewers are about to be reunited with the Page-Bailie family featured in Volume One.

The world watched the Page-Bailie episodes as Builders Care and ICI Homes came to the rescue of foster-adoptive mom Melisa Page-Bailie and her children in a major community outreach event that touched hearts and changed lives.[/sm_column_text][sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486785368024{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]

[sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486784609844{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]Now…they are back! During the Movements of Compassion Tour, we rejoin Melisa and – originally four, but now five – of her children as they reach out and serve alongside organizations that are bringing hope to those in need. A friend gave the team a nickname, “Team Courageous.” It stuck. On the night before Team Courageous hit the road, one of Melisa’s other daughters, Trisha, decided at the last minute to climb on board.[/sm_column_text][sm_image align=”inline” style=”sm-style-shadow-3d” image=”6166″ css=”.vc_custom_1486783335543{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-right: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;padding-left: 40px !important;}”][sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486785078328{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]

The Compassion Journals - Videos Shot by the Page-Bailie Bunch

[sm_empty_space height=”20″][sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486785735923{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]Team Courageous is journaling and recording their remarkable experiences during the tour. You can follow and enjoy these experiences with them HERE.

“I want the children to journal every day,” explains Melisa Page-Bailie. “I want them to take pictures and document things that interest them so they can look back and see how God used this journey to change their lives. I want them to remember the most important parts of this journey and the people they meet while they’re serving.”

On this trip, Melisa’s children assumed the roles of media missionaries, including Laci. “I think it’s important for all of us to document our experiences,” she says, “because it gives our friends and family an opportunity to go online and see photos and videos and become a part even though they are not with us. And hopefully it can encourage and inspire other people to get involved with missions work themselves.”[/sm_column_text][sm_empty_space height=”20″]

[sm_empty_space height=”20″][sm_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1486784071246{padding-right: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”]LightMedia Industries is a lighting solutions provider. Their unique, patented products are durable, flexible and extremely energy efficient. This technology allows them to creatively wrap light on any surface.

“When Dianne shared her heart about Building a Difference, it really touched us,” explains David C. Schumaker, CEO/Chairman of LightMedia Industries. “When we heard her vision about helping and encouraging children, then all about building the kingdom – that was enough for us. We were sold. Whatever we can do to help with this project, we want to.”

And that’s what they did. LightMedia Industries wrapped the special camper Team Courageous uses on its journeys. The beautifully designed wrap tells stories of the multifaceted ministry of Building a Difference. LightMedia will also donate their technology to light up the familiar Building a Difference logo on both sides of the camper.

“A lot of thought and planning went into this design,” explains Mick Richards, Exec. Producer/Director. “When you stand back and take it all in, you realize this is a beautiful and perfect picture of the gospel. You see people loving God, by loving people…in amazing and creative ways.”
