“Team Courageous” left Colorado and safely arrived in Arizona to partner with FROMM Ministries. For two weeks they are assisting founders Eugene and Nancy Strickland with vacation Bible schools in Stanfield and Miami, AZ.
Eugene and Nancy Strickland both feel called to minister to the forgotten people in places like Alaska and Arizona. There goal is to “set free victims of neglect, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Breaking the chains of suicide, depression, and hopeless isolation has given real meaning to the lives of those who have received new life through Jesus Christ,” as described on their website.
“We are excited to help out anyway they need us,” shares foster mother Melisa Page-Bailie. “The first thing we did when we got here to Stanfield was to get the local church ready with a fresh coat of paint on the inside. The kids are having a blast with the first vacation Bible school. They are leading group discussions, coming up with games, and studying for their first play.”
We will continue to follow the Page-Bailie family as they move forward the next two weeks with their missions experience. They are capturing as much as they can on video and will soon share their stories in an upcoming Compassion Video Journal!
