Mick Richards, Exec. Producer/Director of Building a Difference, was invited as guest speaker at the Church of Truth in Vancouver, WA to show a sneak preview of the upcoming New Life documentary to its congregation.
“Although the New Life documentary goes deep into the unique recovery ministry of New Life in Russia and America,” explained Richards, “there was an essential element to this story that we knew had to be also included. We wanted to spotlight the fact that New Life couldn’t have been able to come to the U.S. if it wasn’t for the financial sacrifices of so many churches in America. And the Church of Truth was one of them.”
After New Life founder Sergey Matevosian heard the call to help people in America, they shared their vision and testimony to American and Russian speaking churches all over the country. They were warmly received and, like the Church of Truth, so many organization wanted to help anyway they could. The money to purchase 102-acres of farmland in Cabool, Missouri was raised, and in 2007, New Life USA was born.
“First of all, the financial contributions shouldn’t be looked at as going to New Life as an organization; but rather at what they do,” explained Church of Truth’s pastor Sergey Kozlov in an on-camera interview. “By saving these drug addicts and restoring these people, we contribute into God’s Kingdom. These people that lost all hope, through this Rehab Center they have hope to rise in God and become strengthened. And if our finances contributed to this, it’s not just us sowing into this organization, it’s sowing into saving souls all over the world.”
